Who Alexis Dubus is

Alexis Dubus is a British stand-up comedian, actor and writer who also performs as the French character Marcel Lucont, winner of Chortle's award for Best Character, Improv or Sketch Act in 2015 after nominations in 2013 and 2014. Dubus won a ThreeWeeks Editors' Award in 2008 for A R*ddy Brief History of Swearing, a mix of stand-up and lecture filmed for Comedy Dynamics in 2018, then the Amused Moose Comedy Award in 2012 and Mervyn Stutter's Spirit of the Fringe award in 2013, and in 2022 Best Kids Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

On television Dubus has appeared as Marcel Lucont on Russell Howard's Good News, Live at the Electric, Set List and The John Bishop Show, with parts in Pramface, Derek and Red Dwarf, and on radio in 4 Extra Stands Up, The Leak and Geoff Norcott's Working Men's Club.
