Who John Bishop is

John Bishop is an English stand-up comedian and actor, born in Liverpool, who worked as a salesman before turning to comedy in the early 2000s and rose quickly to national fame, fronting his own television series, among them The John Bishop Show, and playing arena tours across Britain. His tours released as live DVDs include Winging It, Supersonic, Rollercoaster, The Sunshine Tour and Elvis Has Left the Building, and his 25 Years of Stand Up tour marked a quarter-century on stage, reaching the State Theatre in Sydney for Just For Laughs Sydney in December 2025. He has also written the books How Did All This Happen? and How to Grow Old.
