An enhanced listing waiting for your words: an old typewriter in the dark with a blank sheet loaded
For the businesses in the Team directory

An enhanced listing, in your own words.

Agents, managers, talent buyers, promoters, entertainment attorneys, publicists, accountants and road managers are listed in D.O.C.'s directory for free, from their own websites, for comics looking for help. An enhanced listing puts your own words on your card and gives you a page of your own, for $99 a month.

What an enhanced listing gets you

Your words on your cardUp to 50 words of your own under D.O.C.’s line: what you do best, who you want to hear from, what to send you.
A page of your ownUp to 400 words about the business, what you do, how you charge and your links, on a D.O.C. page your card opens.
Your Find nowYour card’s Find now button opens the page you choose: your booking form, your submissions page or your contact page.
Marked as paidYour card and your page say “Paid listing,” so a comic knows whose words they are reading. The words are yours; D.O.C. says so.

Standard and enhanced

The same listing, both ways. The agency is made up for this page, so its buttons go nowhere; on a real card the name opens the business's website and Find now opens the page to start on.

In their wordsWe route comics through the Southeast's clubs and theaters in runs of three to five nights, so the drive pays. Send a five-minute clip and your last ten dates; you'll hear back within a week. Ten percent of the dates we book, in writing — nothing up front.

What doesn't change

01
The standard listing stays free

Businesses are listed because their own websites say they do the work, and a listing costs nothing. Enhancing it is a choice, never a condition of being listed.

02
The order is not for sale

A paid listing sits exactly where it would anyway: by state, then city, then name. Nobody pays to be first, and nobody is left off for not paying.

03
Read before it goes up

D.O.C. reads what you send against your own website and may ask you to change a line. A claim your site doesn’t support, or a client named without their agreement, doesn’t go up.

04
No fees up front for comics

D.O.C. doesn’t run a paid listing for an agent or manager who charges comics a fee to represent them — the line Your Team draws for its readers in Before you sign.

05
Month to month

$99 a month. Nothing is charged until your listing is approved; then D.O.C. sends you an invoice. Stop when you like, and your card goes back to the standard listing when the month you paid for ends.

06
Law firms

An enhanced listing is advertising. Your state’s rules on lawyer advertising apply to what you write, and your card and page carry the words “Attorney advertising.”

Enhanced listing questions

Who can ask for one? A business in Your Team's directory: an agent, a manager, a talent buyer, a promoter, an entertainment attorney, a publicist, an accountant or a road manager. Not listed yet? Ask anyway. The standard listing goes in free once D.O.C. has read your site.

What does a comic see? Your card, with D.O.C.'s line about the business and your own words under it, marked “Paid listing.” The card opens a page of your own, and Find now opens the page you choose.

Does paying move me up the list? No. An enhanced listing sits exactly where the standard one would: by state, then city, then name.

How much can I write? Up to fifty words on the card and up to four hundred on your page. Say what you do, how you charge and how a comic reaches you. D.O.C. reads it against your own website first.

How long does it run? Month to month, at $99 a month. Nothing is charged until your listing is approved, and you can stop when you like.

What won't go up? A claim your own website doesn't support, or a client named without their agreement. Nor does a paid listing for an agent or manager who charges comics a fee to represent them.

Why is it marked as paid? So a comic knows whose words they are reading. The Federal Trade Commission's guide to native advertising sets out the same idea: a reader should be able to tell an ad from the page around it.
