D.O.C., in short

Disciples of Comedy, D.O.C. for short, is a free guide to stand-up comedy, written for the people who buy the tickets and the comics who work the rooms. Start with a comedian: the A to Z lists the comedians with a page of their own, each with their next shows, their specials, albums and podcasts, and where they got their start. Comedian tour dates shows who is on the road and what goes on sale next, and the Comedy Calendar puts their shows in order, night by night and town by town.

For a night out, find the room in the Club Directory or the clubs by state, with show nights, open mics and ticket prices where the club gives them, then plan dinner, parking and the ride home around the show. For a trip, the comedy festivals run month by month, at home and abroad. Stand-up comedy news follows new tours, specials and awards as they are announced, and SUCDb, the Stand-Up Comedy Database, keeps the record of the comedians behind them, with its sources.

On the other side of the mic, the comedy road maps go from a first open mic to the long road, festival submissions lists the entry windows open now, closing first, and About D.O.C. says who the site is for and how to reach it.
