The people behind the pictures.
Every picture on D.O.C. is credited here, and only here — the pictures themselves carry no credit lines. Each photograph D.O.C. did not take is listed with who took it, under what licence, and the page it came from: a free-licence photo, credited even where the licence does not ask for it, or a photo from a venue's, a comic's or a show's own page, credited to that page. D.O.C.'s own painted art is at the foot of the page.
A photographer, a venue or a comic who wants a photo credited differently — or taken down — can write to D.O.C., and it comes down.
The twelve rooms' photos
A free-licence photo where one exists; otherwise the photo the venue publishes itself, credited here to the venue and linked to where it came from. D.O.C. is promoting these rooms, not speaking for them.
The rooms on Stage Time
The mic rooms and venues in Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin carry a photo of the room itself — the room's own, credited to the room and linked to the page it came from, or a free-licence photo credited to whoever took it.
The comedians' photographs
A SUCDb record with no painted portrait shows a photograph where the right one could be checked: a free-licence photo from Wikimedia Commons — the photo on the comic's own Wikipedia article, or one whose Commons category or description names them — or a photo on a page that names the comic: their own site or channel, their agency or publisher, their podcast's network, their page at a club (the Improv, The Comedy Store, The Stand, Punchup, Comedy Works), a show's official channel, or a publication's captioned photo — credited to that page. Each is cropped square and resized.
The painted art
The comedians' painted portraits and the painted era scenes are AI-assisted artwork made for D.O.C.
