Who Dave Chappelle is

American stand-up comedian and actor from Washington, D.C., who co-created and starred in Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show (2003–2006) before quitting midway through its third season. His stand-up hours run from Killin' Them Softly (2000, HBO) through a series of Netflix specials including Sticks & Stones, The Closer and The Unstoppable (2025); he has won six Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album and the 2019 Mark Twain Prize. He lives on a farm near Yellow Springs, Ohio.
