Mark Twain
Who Mark Twain is
Samuel Clemens, known as Mark Twain, was an American writer, humorist and lecturer, author of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. He was also a much-demanded speaker whose solo humorous lectures, similar to modern stand-up comedy, ran from his 1866 Sandwich Islands lecture through the 1884–85 'Twins of Genius' reading tour with George Washington Cable to a 1895–96 round-the-world lecture tour recounted in Following the Equator.
