Build My Comedy Night

Pick the comedians you’d go out for and your town. RSVP to a confirmed show near you, or name the month you’d go, then add what you’d spend on the show and around it — merch, dinner, drinks, the ride, a room for the night — and see the night’s total.

Who and where

Up to twelve comedians: the night is a show by any one of them. Then your town, how far you’d go and who’s coming with you.

When

With your comedians and your town in, their confirmed dates near you show here: RSVP to one. Or name the month you’d go.

An RSVP is your word that you’d go: it holds no seat, and tickets come from the room or its seller.

The show and the extras

For each, the price you’d pay — Budget, Standard or Premium, your own number — then how many. Leave a row at zero to leave it out.

Food and drinks

Where you’d eat decides where dinner counts: at the venue it is part of the show; anywhere else it is part of the night around it.

Drinks at the showEach drink, for everyone together
After the showPer person: a drink, a late bite, dancing

A room’s drink or food minimum, where it has one, is met by what you buy there: count each purchase once.

Getting there and staying over

For the whole party: parking and a ride are per car, transit per person, a hotel per room and night.

Would you buy this night?

What is counted, for each comedian: the town, the month, how many of you, what you’d spend on the show and on the whole night, and whether you’d buy it — once from this device, and nothing else about you.

How the numbers work

Are these real prices?

They are yours. Each row offers three price points — Budget, Standard and Premium — and you choose the one you’d pay, or leave the row out. They are what fans say they would spend, never a ticket price, a quote or a sale. D.O.C. sells no tickets and nothing on this page.

Who sees my night?

Your night stays on this device. When you count it, it joins the totals for each comedian, town and month: how many fans, how many seats, the average a party says it would spend on the show and on the whole night, and how many would buy it at that price. A comedian can be told those totals, to see what a show near you could fill; this page shows the people and the seats. Your name and email are never part of it.

What counts as the show, and what as the night?

The show is what you’d spend with the room and the comedian: tickets, a shirt, a meet and greet, an album, and food and drinks at the venue. The night adds dinner somewhere else, after the show, getting there and back, and a hotel.

Is anything held back?

Each comedian, town and month is counted once from a device. Spending is counted up to $300 a person for the show and $900 a person for the whole night, so one very large night can’t tip a town’s average.
