Who Jo Caulfield is

Jo Caulfield is a stand-up comedian and writer, based in Edinburgh since 2013, who headlines major comedy clubs across the UK and was voted the Comedians' Comedian of the Year by her peers in 2022. She has appeared on Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and the Royal Variety Performance, is heard on BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute and The News Quiz, and has had several stand-up series of her own on Radio 4, among them Jo Caulfield Won't Shut Up!

As a writer she has worked on So Graham Norton, Strictly Dance Fever and Ruby Wax's The Waiting Game and written for Joan Rivers, Ant & Dec and Anne Robinson. Her set was part of RTÉ2's Laughter in the Eyre, recorded live in Eyre Square during Galway's Comedy Carnival in 2019, and her show Pearls Before Swine was long-listed for Best Show at the 2024 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Her special Here Comes Trouble streams on NextUp Comedy, and she is the author of the memoir The Funny Thing About Death.
