Who Dane Baptiste is

Dane Baptiste is a British stand-up comedian, writer and podcaster whose debut Edinburgh Fringe hour, Citizen Dane, was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2014 Edinburgh Comedy Awards, the first time a Black Briton was nominated in that category. He followed it with Reasonable Doubts in 2015, toured internationally including Australia and the UAE, and returned to the Fringe with Bapsquire in 2023. Baptiste created, wrote and starred in the BBC Three sitcom Sunny D, appeared on Live at the Apollo in 2015 and hosted it in 2017, released the special The Chocolate Chip with 800 Pound Gorilla, and hosts the podcast Dane Baptiste Questions Everything.
