Who Darren Harriott is

Darren Harriott is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer from Birmingham, now based in London. His debut Edinburgh Fringe hour, Defiant, was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2017 and transferred to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and London's Soho Theatre; he toured Visceral in 2018, and Good Heart Yute was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2019, with Roadman following at the Fringe in 2023.

On television he has hosted Live at the Apollo and the BBC New Comedy Awards, captained a team on four series of Guessable, co-hosted Love Island: Aftersun and appeared on Mock the Week and Would I Lie to You?, and on BBC Radio 4 he has made three series, Black Label, Red Label and Father Figuring, the last of which won Gold at the New York Festivals Radio Awards in 2026. In October 2026 he was one of the judges of Birmingham's Breaking Talent Award.
