Who Dan Tiernan is

Dan Tiernan is a stand-up comedian from Manchester who won the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2022 and, three weeks later, the British Comedian of the Year contest at the Comedy Store in London. He placed third in Leicester Square Theatre's New Comedian of the Year in 2021, and at the Edinburgh Fringe his debut hour Going Under was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2023 and won the (ISH) Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer jointly that year.

He was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2025 for All In and in 2026 for Quartz and All, which was also nominated for Most Outstanding Show at the 2026 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, shortlisted for Best Show at the 2026 (ISH) awards and at the 2026 Comedians' Choice Awards. He has been seen on Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg and QI, and returned to the BBC New Comedy Awards as a judge in 2025.
