Who Steve Bugeja is

Steve Bugeja is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor who won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2013, and whose shows run from Day Release (2015) and Unpronounceable (2016) to Self Doubt (I Think) (2023) and Shiny (2024). He co-created and co-wrote ITV2's Buffering, in which he stars as Finn, and its first series was shortlisted for a Rose d'Or; he has hosted the BBC Radio 4 series Economics with Subtitles and twice played the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

As a writer he has worked on The Russell Howard Hour, Mock the Week and Love Island in the UK and the US, and as lead writer on CelebAbility and Roast the Internet, and his television appearances include The Russell Howard Hour and Russell Howard's Stand Up Central.
