Who Mike Wilmot is

Mike Wilmot is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor and writer who started in stand-up in 1995 and became a regular on the UK circuit in 1998. He won the Time Out comedy award in 2002 and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Most Outstanding Show award, the Barry, in 2003, has played the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal several times, and has performed from Ireland and Scandinavia to Hong Kong and South Africa; his Edinburgh Fringe shows include Pretzel Logic (2002).

On British television he has played Live at the Apollo (2011), appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats and played Mike in Not Going Out, and he has written for and acted in Rich Hall's shows, among them Rich Hall's Fishing Show and Rich Hall's Cattle Drive. He was nominated for Best Club Comic at the Chortle Awards in 2018.
