Who Andrew Lawrence is

Andrew Lawrence is a British stand-up comedian who was runner-up in the So You Think You're Funny? competition in 2003 and won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2004. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2006 and for the main award in 2007, and for the Chortle Award for Best UK Headline Act in 2010 and 2011.

On television he played Marco in BBC Three's Ideal and has appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo and, as a series regular, Channel 4's Stand Up for the Week, and on BBC Radio 4 he made the series What To Do If You're Not Like Everybody Else and How Did We End Up Like This and the sitcom There Is No Escape. He has made six national tours, the latest in 2024, and toured the show Still on the Naughty Step! in 2025.
