Who Rich Hall is
Rich Hall is an award-winning American stand-up comedian from Montana, renowned for his expertly crafted tirades, quick-fire banter with audiences and musical interludes, and described as a transatlantic messenger who lampoons each country he visits. He has won the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival and the Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and he was among the first international comedians to play the NZ International Comedy Festival in its early years.
On BBC Four he has fronted a run of documentaries, including Rich Hall's Red Menace, Countrier Than You and Inventing the Indian, and he has appeared on QI, Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News for You and written and starred in his own BBC Radio 4 show, Rich Hall's (US Election) Breakdown. As an actor he has been seen in Brave New World, Extraordinary, Cockroaches and Drunk History UK, he has written for The Guardian and The Sunday Times, and he published a memoir in 2022.
