Paul Foot
Who Paul Foot is
Paul Foot is an English stand-up comedian, born in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, known for surreal, unpredictable and gleefully strange stand-up. He reached the So You Think You're Funny? final in 1997, the year he won the BBC New Comedy Award, was a Perrier Best Newcomer nominee in 1998 and a finalist on season six of NBC's Last Comic Standing, and won the Sydney Comedy Festival's international Best of the Fest award in 2013.
He has twice been joint winner of Best Show at the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards, with Dissolve in 2023 and The Future in 2026, and Dissolve was released as a special by 800 Pound Gorilla in 2025. A familiar face from Would I Lie To You?, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, he tried out The Future at the Machynlleth Comedy Festival on 2 May 2026 and the Wells Comedy Festival on 24 May 2026.
