Who Al Jackson is

Al Jackson is a stand-up comedian, television host, writer and actor from Cleveland, based in Los Angeles, who began his comedy career while working as a middle-school teacher in Miami. He is best known for his half-hour special Comedy Central Presents: Al Jackson, as the host of more than 100 episodes of the BAFTA-nominated BBC series Officially Amazing, and as a co-host of the daily national talk show Daily Blast Live.

He has appeared twice on NBC's Last Comic Standing and on Comedy Underground with Dave Attell, John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, HBO's 2 Dope Queens, FXX's Legit and all sixteen episodes of truTV's How To Be A Grown Up, hosted Fox's syndicated travel show Awesome Adventures and wrote for truTV's Upload with Shaquille O'Neal. A weekly contributor to the Bob & Tom Show and co-host of the podcast Al Jackson and Frank Caliendo Try and Be Serious, he was voted one of the Best of the Fest at Montreal's Just For Laughs in 2011.
