Who Luke Heggie is
Luke Heggie is an Australian stand-up comedian who works mainly in comedy clubs, won RAW Comedy at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2010, took the festival's Piece of Wood, the comedians' own award, in 2017 for Rough Diamanté, and won Best of the Fest at the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2021. Since his first solo show, Master of None (2012), he has made a show almost every year, and his specials include Tiprat (2018, Network 10), Have That (2019), I Already Told You (2022, Paramount+ and ABC iview), Lowbreed and Grot, with ARIA nominations for releases in 2016 and 2018.
On television he wrote and starred in Joyful Strains for the ABC's The Weekly and has appeared on Just for Laughs, the Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala, Question Everything and The Project. He hosts the podcast Mid Flight Brawl with Nick Cody, which has toured live, and has published two books of transcribed shows, If You Must Know (2024) and Your Stupid (2025).
