Who Heidi Regan is
Heidi Regan is an Australian-born stand-up comedian and comedy writer based in London, who had been writing comedy for more than a decade before she tried stand-up and then won So You Think You're Funny? at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 and the BBC New Comedy Award in 2017. She has performed at Just For Laughs in Montreal, supported Joe Lycett, Milton Jones and Tez Ilyas on tour, and taken a run of solo hours to the Fringe, from Heidi vs Sharks (2018) and Heidi Kills Time (2019) to Jekyll and Heidi (2025).
On BBC Radio 4 she has had two Stand-Up Specials, Overthinker (2019) and No Worries (2021), and has written and performed for The Now Show, and on television she has appeared on Have I Got News For You and Joe Lycett's Got Your Back. She hosts the film podcast A Thin Layer of Film on Radio X, co-hosted Radio 4's Grownupland, won an Australian Writers' Guild Award for the sketch show Orange Is the New Brown, and her book How to Slay Dragons and Influence People is published in October 2026.
