Who Nazeem Hussain is

Nazeem Hussain is an Australian stand-up comedian, television personality and writer who won the Best Newcomer award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2008 with Aamer Rahman for their show Fear of a Brown Planet. He created and starred in the SBS sketch series Legally Brown, nominated for Most Outstanding Comedy at the 2015 Logie Awards, and Seven's Orange Is the New Brown (2018), was a correspondent on both seasons of Netflix's Bill Nye Saves the World, and has twice been nominated for the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer.

His Netflix stand-up special Public Frenemy, filmed at Just for Laughs in Montreal, began streaming in 2019; his tours since have included Basic Idiot (2019), Hussain That? (2022) and Totally Normal (2024), with stops from Edinburgh and London to New Zealand, the United States and Sri Lanka, and in 2025 he played the Perth Comedy Festival.
