Who Geraldine Hickey is

Geraldine Hickey is an Australian stand-up comedian and storyteller who won the Most Outstanding Show award at the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival with What A Surprise, two years after taking the festival's Piece of Wood award for Things Are Going Well. A runner-up in the RAW Comedy national final in 2001 and a New Faces pick at Just For Laughs in Montreal, she has toured hours such as Now I've Got A Boat, Of Course We've Got Horses, Don't Tease Me About My Gloves and Meander to festivals across Australia and the Edinburgh Fringe.

Her specials include What A Surprise on Paramount+ and Don't Tease Me About My Gloves on ABC TV, which brought an AACTA nomination; she is a regular on The Gala, Spicks and Specks and Thank God You're Here, has appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention?, played Gwen in Fisk, reached the final five of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2025, and co-hosted Triple R's Breakfasters from 2016 to 2021.
