Who Denise Scott is

Denise Scott is an Australian comedian, actor and television personality whose solo shows include Number 26, winner of the Groggy Squirrel Critics' Award in 2009, Regrets, which won the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Director's Choice award in 2011, the year she won the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer, and Mother Bare, which won the Barry Award in 2014. With Judith Lucy she has toured The Spiral, Disappointments, which shared a People's Choice award with Wil Anderson in 2017, and Still Here.

On television she plays Maggie in the ABC's Mother and Son, narrates Travel Guides, co-hosted Studio 10 and has been a regular guest on Have You Been Paying Attention? and Spicks and Specks, and she wrote the books All That Happened at Number 26 and The Tour. In 2026 she returned to solo stand-up after more than a decade with Tickety Boo, which played the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne's Comedy Theatre and the Brisbane Comedy Festival.
