Who Adam Hills is

Adam Hills is an Australian stand-up comedian and television host, known in Australia for hosting the ABC's Spicks and Specks and in the UK for Channel 4's The Last Leg, which he has hosted since 2012 with Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker. He was nominated for the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe three years running from 2001, won the Chortle Award for Best Compere in 2004 and the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer for Joymonger in 2007, and has played Just for Laughs in Montreal many times; his hours include Happyism (2013), Clown Heart (2015) and Shoes Half Full, which he brought to Edinburgh in 2024.

The Last Leg has brought him four BAFTA nominations and a Royal Television Society award, and he has been nominated five times for the Gold Logie. He has written the memoir Best Foot Forward (2018) and the Rock Star Detectives children's books, and was made an MBE in 2022 for services to Paralympic sport and disability awareness.
