Who Bridget Christie is

Bridget Christie is a British stand-up comedian, actor and writer whose 2013 show A Bic for Her won the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, broke box-office records at Soho Theatre and went on to win Chortle and South Bank Sky Arts awards. Her 2016 show Because You Demanded It was The Guardian's number one comedy of the year, and that year Stand Up for Her made her the first British female comedian with a stand-up special on Netflix.

She created and stars in the Channel 4 comedy drama The Change, which earned her BAFTA and RTS nominations and whose second series she co-directed, has made four BBC Radio 4 series, among them Bridget Christie Minds the Gap and the award-winning Mortal, and wrote A Book for Her (2015). A Taskmaster contestant and a guest on Have I Got News for You and QI, she has headlined the comedy stages at Latitude and at Leeds and Reading, and toured the UK and Ireland in 2026 with Jacket Potato Pizza, her fourteenth solo show.
