Who Holly Walsh is

Holly Walsh is an English comedian, writer, executive producer and director who was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 for her debut show, The Hollycopter, and returned to the Edinburgh Fringe with Never Had It in 2014. Walsh co-created, co-wrote and executive-produced the BBC sitcom Motherland, whose writers won the BAFTA for Best Scripted Comedy in 2022, created The Other One for BBC One in 2020, directing most of its first series and all of its second, and created Amandaland for BBC One in 2025, which won the BAFTA for Best Scripted Comedy in 2026.

On television Walsh has performed on Live at the Apollo and appeared on QI, Would I Lie to You?, Room 101, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and on radio has written for The Now Show and The Unbelievable Truth.
