Who Eugene Mirman is

Eugene Mirman is a stand-up comedian and actor who moved from Moscow to Massachusetts at the age of four, grew up in Lexington, and is best known as the voice of Gene Belcher on FOX's Emmy-winning Bob's Burgers. He appeared regularly on HBO's Flight of the Conchords, has made two Comedy Central stand-up specials and the Netflix special Vegan on His Way to the Complain Store, and has released six comedy albums, among them I'm Sorry (You're Welcome) on Sub Pop.

With Julie Smith Clem he created the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival in Brooklyn, which ran for ten years and became the documentary It Started As A Joke, and he is a frequent co-host of Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk. The Boston Comedy Festival named him its Comedian of the Year in 2019, and his special Here Comes the Whimsy premiered on YouTube and streams on Veeps.
