Who Celia Pacquola is

Celia Pacquola is an award-winning stand-up comedian, actor and writer whose solo shows have played from Melbourne to Edinburgh and London's Soho Theatre, from Am I Strange?, which won the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Critics' Award in 2009, to Let Me Know How It All Works Out, nominated for the Barry Award and winner of the Amused Moose Laughter Award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014. In 2026 she won the AACTA Award for Best Stand-Up Special, and her show Gift Horse won Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Adelaide Fringe's Weekly Award for Best of Comedy.

She co-created, co-wrote and starred in the ABC comedy Rosehaven with Luke McGregor, played Nat in Working Dog's Utopia and was a regular on Have You Been Paying Attention?, and abroad she has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Chelsea Lately, opened for John Oliver on his 2015 Australian tour and played the Carrie Fisher Gala at Just for Laughs in Montreal in 2016.
