Aaron Simmonds
Who Aaron Simmonds is
Aaron Simmonds is a London-based stand-up comedian with a story-based act of sharp observation and clever one-liners. His debut hour, Disabled Coconut, about the absurdity of 'competitive disability', played the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 and was released as a special through Comedy Dynamics in 2020, and The Scotsman gave his hour four stars. A finalist of the BBC New Comedy Award, he has been nominated at the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards and for BroadwayWorld UK's Best Comedy Show, and has appeared on QI, The Russell Howard Hour, The Stand Up Sketch Show and Unexpected Fluids; a sitcom pilot he adapted from Disabled Coconut with Jon Stapley reached the final six for the BBC's first Galton & Simpson bursary.
