Who Will Mars is

Will Mars is a British one-liner comedian who began his comedy career in 2009 and created Joke Thieves, a format he has presented at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2013. When UKTV did not run its Dave Joke of the Fringe in 2021, Mars created the (Some Guy Called) Dave Joke of the Fringe, which won that year's Malcolm Hardee Cunning Stunt Award, and brought it back in 2025, with one-liner specialists Gary Delaney, Mark Simmons, Darren Walsh and Milton Jones putting the entries to a Fringe-goer.

Mars has also worked in the United States, on Showtime at the Apollo and NBC's Trial by Laughter, and his Edinburgh shows run from Americana (2013) and Life in One-Liners (2021) to A Year in Augusts (2026), a storytelling hour on twelve years at the Fringe.
