Who Tim Renkow is
Tim Renkow is a stand-up comedian who moved to London from the United States at 22. Renkow won the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year in 2013, reached the final of that year's Chortle Student Comedy Award and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2014 Chortle Awards, and Renkow's Edinburgh Fringe hours ran from At Least Hell Has Ramps (2014) to Tim Renkow Tries to Punch Down (2018), which went on to London's Soho Theatre in 2019.
On television Renkow co-wrote and starred in the BBC Three sitcom Jerk (2019), which grew from the 2016 pilot A Brief History of Tim, had a recurring role in Viceland's Bobby and Harriet Get Married, performed on Live at the Apollo in 2021 and hosted an episode in 2025; in 2019 Renkow was one of 21 performers chosen for BAFTA's Elevate scheme.
