Who Steve White is
Steve White is a stand-up comedian and actor from Roosevelt, Long Island, who started in comedy in 1986 while studying accounting at Nassau Community College and moved to Los Angeles in 1994. White did stand-up on HBO's Def Comedy Jam from 1992 to 1997 and on Comedy Central, Showtime at the Apollo, NBC's Late Friday, MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour and The Arsenio Hall Show, and acted in five Spike Lee films: Do the Right Thing, Mo' Better Blues, Malcolm X, Clockers and Get on the Bus. Since moving to Sarasota, Florida, in 2019, White has headlined McCurdy's Comedy Theatre and worked as a cruise-ship comedian.
