Billy D. Washington is a stand-up comedian, writer and director who has worked in stand-up since 1991, including three years as the opening act for Aretha Franklin. Washington has appeared three times on HBO's Def Comedy Jam and on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Last Comic Standing and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, has played Just for Laughs twice and the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, and recorded the Dry Bar Comedy special 2 Jokes, 1 Hour. The album The Washington Posts followed in 2019 through 800 Pound Gorilla, and away from stand-up Washington has written and directed fourteen plays and two short films.
