Pete Dominick

Who Pete Dominick is

Pete Dominick is a stand-up comedian, host and podcaster who came up in the New York City comedy scene of the late 1990s as an emcee the Manhattan clubs wanted hosting their best line-ups, and who played more than 300 college campuses in four years. His skill at working a crowd made him a sought-after warm-up comic for television tapings, first for Jon Stewart's The Daily Show and then for Stephen Colbert's The Colbert Report, where he worked from the pilot into its fifth year.

After his New Faces set at Montreal's Just For Laughs in 2006 he hosted a live comedy hour on Sirius's Raw Dog Comedy channel, later hosted CNN's What the Week, and for almost twelve years hosted a daily three-hour live show on SiriusXM, Stand Up with Pete Dominick, which became his independent daily podcast. His stand-up album Live came out in 2017, and its track Naps Are the Best was among the most-played on Raw Dog Comedy in October 2023.
