Who Lily Phillips is
Lily Phillips is a stand-up comedian and writer, one of the UK's most exciting up-and-coming voices in comedy, who placed joint third in the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year in 2019, was a Funny Women finalist in 2018 and reached the grand final of the BBC New Comedy Awards on BBC One in 2021. She has written and performed two hour-long stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, Smut (2022) and Crying (2025), and both transferred to London's Soho Theatre. On television she is a series regular on ITV2's The Stand Up Sketch Show and has appeared in BBC Three's Period Dramas and All4's The Joy of Missing Out, and she co-hosts the award-winning podcast Ghastly Women.
