Who Julian Clary is

Julian Clary is a comedian, performer and author whose career as a camp comic began on the cabaret circuit in the early 1980s, when he performed as The Joan Collins Fan Club. Channel 4 gave him his own show, Sticky Moments, and his television work runs from Terry and Julian, All Rise for Julian Clary and Prickly Heat to Strictly Come Dancing, QI and the sixteenth series of Taskmaster (2023), while on radio he is a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute.

He has toured the UK many times with his one-man shows, most recently A Fistful of Clary, which finished in June 2025, has starred in the London Palladium pantomime for ten years, and has played the Emcee in Cabaret in the West End and Leigh Bowery in Boy George's Taboo. He is also the author of memoirs, of novels including Curtain Call to Murder (2024), and of The Bolds, a series for children.
