Comedian, actor, writer, director, producer, singer and humanitarian who became one of the 20th century's major comedy figures. After early solo performance, he formed the hugely successful Martin and Lewis duo with Dean Martin, then built a solo film and television career while writing, directing and producing many of his own projects.
