Who Tim Cavanagh is

Tim Cavanagh is a stand-up comedian and comic songwriter who started out singing his funny songs in Chicago comedy clubs while teaching high school, and has since played concert halls, colleges, corporate events, nightclubs and cruise ships. Cavanagh's song I Wanna Kiss Her (But She Won't Let Me) was first heard nationally on the Dr. Demento show, and as a regular guest on The Bob & Tom Show Cavanagh had a weekly segment, The One Minute Song, for two years.

The albums run from Sounds Like Fun! (1997) to Love, Fish and Sausages (2016), on which Cavanagh sings the parody Vehicle Man with Jim Peterik, the original's writer; on television Cavanagh has appeared on Comedy Central, ABC, Showtime and WGN America, and the stand-up specials include The Joys of Uncle Dumb (2021) and No Line Left Unpunched (Open Bar Comedy, 2026).
