Who Sindhu Vee is

Sindhu Vee is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor, born and brought up in India and now based in London, who left a career in investment banking for comedy. She reached the final of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2016, and her debut hour, Sandhog, was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2018 before two sold-out runs at Soho Theatre and a 92-date UK tour; her next hour, Alphabet, followed at the Fringe in 2022.

She has appeared twice on BBC Two's Live at the Apollo, most recently as host, and on Mock the Week, QI and Have I Got News for You, acted in Netflix's Feel Good and Sex Education in 2020, wrote and hosted Sindhustan for Radio 4, and co-hosts the podcast Child Labour with Stuart Goldsmith.
