Who Rhys James is

Rhys James is a British stand-up comedian and writer known for fast, joke-dense sets, and one of the final regulars on the BBC's Mock the Week. James has played Live at the Apollo, QI, A League of Their Own and America's The Great American Joke Off, created and starred in three BBC Radio 4 series, among them the ARIA-nominated Rhysearch, and taken six shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, with stand-up hours running from Begins (2014) to Snitch (2019) and Spilt Milk (2023), whose DVD sold out in ninety minutes.

James's U&Dave lecture I Stalk Strangers Online has passed fifteen million views, and in 2025 James published a first memoir, You'll Like It When You Get There: A Life Lived Reluctantly.
