Who Nina Conti is
Nina Conti is a ventriloquist and stand-up comedian who was part of the Royal Shakespeare Company before taking up ventriloquism on the London comedy circuit with her puppet sidekick, Monkey, encouraged by her mentor Ken Campbell. She won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2002, and her first full-length solo show, Complete and Utter Conti, went on to win the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, shared with Kristen Schaal. Her shows since include The Dating Show, and she made the film Her Master's Voice. As an actor she has appeared in Black Books, Holby City, Christopher Guest's film For Your Consideration and the series Family Tree.
