Who Martin Phillips is
Martin Phillips is a stand-up comedian from Virginia's 757 area who started on the Washington, D.C., comedy scene in 2013; in college he was named "DC's Funniest Student." He earned a Golden Ticket on the live podcast Kill Tony after an impromptu bucket pull at his home club in D.C. and has performed on it regularly since, making his Madison Square Garden debut at the show's August 2024 dates there and appearing in the Netflix special Kill Tony: Mayhem at Madison Square Garden (2025). Phillips, who has muscular dystrophy, headlines shows around the country and tours with the Killers of Kill Tony show, and with the comedian Jenny Questell he hosts the podcast Isn't It Romantic?, in which they debate whether a film counts as a romance.
