Who Mark Forward is

Mark Forward is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor whose offbeat act mixes observational comedy with character work and one-man sketches. He won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Stand-up Newcomer in 2005 and the Homegrown Competition at Just for Laughs in 2006, and in 2012 took the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Taped Live Performance for his set on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

He came to stand-up from theatre school and a bartending job in Toronto, won a Yuk Yuk's award for the top comedian with a day job, and played a three-season role alongside Gerry Dee in the CBC sitcom Mr. D. His hour Presents Mark Forward came out through Comedy Dynamics in 2019, and he has played the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Hub Cap Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs.
