Gerry Dee
Who Gerry Dee is
Gerry Dee is a stand-up comedian, actor and sports personality whose own years as a teacher, before he moved to comedy full time, inspired the CBC sitcom Mr. D, the story of a charming, under-qualified teacher trying to fake his way through the job. The series ran for eight seasons on CBC and is now on Prime Video in the United States. He also hosts CBC's Family Feud Canada, which has returned for an eighth season, and tours theatres across Canada with his stand-up, whose specials include Let's Be Honest, Life After Teaching and No Reading Ahead.
