Maggie Faris
Who Maggie Faris is
Maggie Faris is a Minnesota stand-up comedian known for a ceaselessly cheerful personality and quirky, intelligent jokes that dissect our fears and social barriers. She won the Laugh Off Gender Showdown, the first woman to take the title, and another contest win made her the public address announcer for the St. Paul Saints baseball team, which led to an appearance on ESPN's Cold Pizza.
She appeared two years running on NBC's Last Comic Standing, won the Silver Nail award and Funniest Clip of the Year at the Aspen Comedy Festival, was named one of the Funniest Lesbians in America by Curve magazine and won The Advocate's national search for the next funniest queer comedian; in 2024 she won the Big Sky Comedy Festival and the Loons on the Lake Festival. Her albums include Hot Lesbo Action (Stand Up! Records, 2015), A Dingus Among Us (2017) and Tougher Than a Honey Bee (2022), the last two on Blonde Medicine, and her tracks Four Choices and Find It Online were played on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy and Raw Comedy channels in 2023.
