Who Kura Forrester is
Kura Forrester is a New Zealand comedian and actor who in 2019 became the first Māori woman to win the Billy T Award, for her show Kura Shoulda Woulda. Her festival debut, Tiki Tour, a sell-out season at the 2015 New Zealand International Comedy Festival, won her the Best Newcomer award. As an actor she is known for Shortland Street and has appeared in What We Do in the Shadows, Golden Boy and The Adventures of Suzy Boon, as well as on stage in MINCING, When Sun and Moon Collide and SNORT, and in 2022 she competed in the third season of Taskmaster NZ on TVNZ 2.
