Who Hans Teeuwen is
Hans Teeuwen is a Dutch comedian and cabaret performer who made his solo debut in 1994 with Hard en Zielig and grew into one of the most influential cabaret performers in the Netherlands. A huge star at home, he has also played London in English: his DVD Live in London led The Guardian's Comedy Gold column to call him one of the most brilliant comics alive, and in 2016 he returned to the British stage at Soho Theatre with Real Rancour. After Nou Lekker Dan in 2022, he opened his new show, De Laffe Verlosser, with try-outs at De Meervaart in Amsterdam in September 2025 before touring the Netherlands.

Their stand-up
Teeuwen first made his name in 1991 by winning an award at the Cameretten cabaret festival with the show Heist, and his solo shows went on to include Met een Breierdeck, Trui, Dat Dan Weer Wel, Industry of Love, Spiksplinter (2011) and Echte Rancune (2016).
He took up performing in English in 2007, appearing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the Amsterdam Underground Comedy Collective, and played Soho Theatre and the Latitude Festival in 2008; he also sings as a crooner, appearing at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2008 and releasing the albums How It Aches (2010) and Popstukken (2015).
