He began at open mics in 2002 while at Southern Illinois University, and his specials include Animal Furnace and Live from Chicago on Comedy Central and Comedy Camisado on Netflix. He started the Handsome Rambler podcast in 2016, and in 2025 he opened Isola Brooklyn, a performance venue in the former Knitting Factory space.
