Who Dara Ó Briain is

Dara Ó Briain is a stand-up comedian and television presenter who began in Ireland as a children's presenter on RTÉ while doing his first gigs on the Irish circuit, then moved to the UK and the British circuit full-time; he holds the record for the most appearances in a year at Dublin's Vicar Street.

He hosted eighteen series of Mock the Week, along with Robot Wars, Stargazing Live, Blockbusters and Go 8Bit, guest-hosted Have I Got News for You and won Channel 4's Taskmaster. His tour So… Where Were We?, 173 shows on five continents ending at Boston's Wilbur Theatre in February 2024, won Best Tour at the 2023 Chortle Awards, and his live specials run from Live at the Theatre Royal (2006) to Crowd Tickler (2015); his books include Tickling the English and Secret Science.
