Who Cipha Sounds is

Cipha Sounds is a comedian, DJ and radio personality from the Bronx who spent more than 17 years on New York's Hot 97 and was the official DJ of Chappelle's Show. Encouraged by Dave Chappelle, he moved into comedy, creating the monthly stand-up series Don't Get Gassed in 2007 and the hip-hop improv show Take It Personal at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He was passed at the Comedy Cellar as a regular comedian and host, has toured with Dave Chappelle, Aziz Ansari and Michelle Wolf, was featured in Michael Che's Netflix special Michael Che Matters, and hosts truTV's Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks.
